Wedding photo sharing: every guest photo in one album
The simplest way to collect wedding guest photos is a QR code on the tables that opens an upload page in the phone's browser. Guests add photos and videos without installing an app or creating an account, and you get one private album instead of a dozen group chats. With Heysnaps you pay once per wedding, and the album can become a hardcover photo book.
Why guest photos matter
Your photographer covers the ceremony, the portraits, and the first dance. Your guests cover everything else: the table next to the kitchen, the bridal party getting ready, the dance floor at midnight. Those pictures usually stay on a hundred different phones.
How to get guests to actually upload
Put the QR code where people wait: on the tables, at the bar, on the back of the program. Ask your DJ or emcee to mention it once. Photo challenges help too, such as “a photo with someone you just met”, because they give guests a reason to open the page.
Upload does not have to happen that night. Many guests add their pictures in the days after the wedding, so leave the sign in your thank-you message as well.
What you get afterwards
One album with every upload in original quality, a live slideshow for the reception, an audio and video guest book, and a photo book that Heysnaps lays out for you from the best shots.
Questions
- Do guests need to download an app or create an account?
- No. Guests scan the QR code or tap the link, and the upload page opens in their phone's browser. There is no app to install and no sign-up, which is why older relatives use it too.
- How is this different from a shared Google Photos or iCloud album?
- A shared album needs every guest to have the right account and to find the invite. A QR code works for everyone with a phone camera. You also get a live slideshow, a guest book, and a printed photo book, which shared albums do not offer.
- Is it a subscription?
- No. You pay once per event. There is nothing to cancel.
- Who can see the photos?
- Only people who have your album link or QR code. Albums are not listed publicly and are not indexed by search engines. As the host you can remove any photo, and you decide whether guests can browse the gallery or only upload.
